Mental Health on Mic:
Your Voice Matters!
A student-centered safe space designed by the Student Network Organization to reflect on mental health, university life, belonging, and well-being.
What is Mental Health on Mic?
Mental Health on Mic is a student-centered initiative created as part of the SNO, designed to provide an open, safe space for students to reflect on mental health, university life, wellbeing, and the communities they belong to.
Understand Contexts
Through this activity, we want to understand how students experience mental health across different university contexts and cultural backgrounds.
Identify Root Causes
Between academic deadlines, competitive pressures, and social adjustments, we examine how university life impacts loneliness and connection.
Build Healthier Spaces
Gathering what students believe could be changed to create healthier, more empathetic, and truly supportive academic environments.
Belonging is more than being in the same place
"Between classes, deadlines, group projects, and the pressure to keep up, we can be surrounded by people and still feel disconnected. Sometimes, we share the same spaces without feeling that we truly belong."
Belonging is about feeling seen, heard, and welcomed. We want to hear your story, your perspective, and your ideas. This is an open invitation to reflect on the relationships we build, the connections we miss, and the kind of university environment we want to create together.
How can our university experiences affect our sense of connection, loneliness, and mental well-being?
What kind of university environment do we want to create together to foster genuine community?
Bi-Monthly Editions
During the year, we'll be launching bi-monthly editions concerning mental health topics. We'll be inviting students, professionals, educators, and many others who can contribute solutions. Be part of it, we want to listen to you!
Edition 1: Connection & Belonging
